Open to all!

Just a bit of a shameless plug to let people know that I have quite a few services available if anyone is interested or knows anyone that may need me for anything. Not those services ladies...sheesh! ;)

Anyway, since quite a few may use the forum here and bookmark it, they are also missing some of the stuff I provide on my site. I didn't want anything to get lost in the shuffle, so I felt it was best to post a little info here as well as the links to these services so you can check them out in full if interested.

Video Lessons: One thing that has really been taking off is the video lessons. Custom video lessons right to your desktop showing techniques and other goodies. I'll mix your song from the ground up and you can watch everything I do to make it sound killer. These have become a bit more popular due to the little teasers I put up on GuitarWar a while ago. Of course these new videos are not the same. They will be custom made to your specs so you learn what YOU want to learn, not what someone tries to ram down your throat in a language you don't understand. The vids are funny, yet informative and the only editing I do is for a nice flow. So you still get a chance to hear my funny accent as well as me swearing or calling myself names when I screw up. :) Prices are based on how big the lesson will be and I use Sonar exclusively and have versions 5 through 8.5. If you don't have Sonar, that's ok because if you just need to learn a technique, the language is pretty much the same. Contact me for pricing or any questions you may have. You can also post general questions here if need be.

More info about the lessons can be found here. http://dannydanzi.com/rec.php

Audio Services: As some of you may or may not know, the majority of my work these days comes from mastering and other audio services. This includes mixing, mastering, producing, consultations, re-amping, audio restoration, and instrumental services for your project. I sing, play lead/rhythm guitar, bass, keys and drums. More in depth information about these services can be found here. http://dannydanzi.com/aud.php

Contact me privately or feel free to ask any questions you may have here. Thanks! :)

I'll have to check out the video services. Of course you know I've used your mastering services with great satisfaction. I'll have a couple songs coming you way within the week if you're not too busy.

I'll email the mp3s maybe this evening to give you an idea what will be coming your way. The singer is laying down final vocal tracks this morning.

He (singer/songwriter) calls it Crunge; a mix between modern country and grunge.

I helped him arrange the songs and played electric guitar and bass on them. Jake Caldwell (Phil Vassar's former drummer) tracked the drums and acoustic guitar.

Hey Danny, I am seriously thinking of laying down $400 for the newest Sonar (Currently on Sonar 4 hacked version). I guess it is about time I actualy start trying to put out some of this material I have written over the years and I want it to sound good when I do. Not that a new Sonar will make my tone any better or anything else for that matter, but I want to learn more about the production end of things and paying for this will get me amped up and more into it, if you know what I mean.

My question is, once I pay for the newest sonar what else will I need to produce a good sounding song as far as software? I mean, other programs, Sonar plugins...etc. For starters I could use some high quality VST's. Do you think I should get Sonar 8 or shop around for an older version at a cheaper price(if that is possible)? Is version 8 the best?

Also, what would it cost a brother for a couple hours of personal lessons (not pre recorded video) to really learn how to use this stuff once I pay for it? We could do a GOTO meeting(I pay for the software thru my business so I can set that up) or if you have skype we could do that.

Thanks.

Hiya Lee!

Good to see you man, thanks for joining us. :) Well, first off, I'd definitely recommend Sonar 8.5 as it is the most powerful version of all time. It's stable and really works well. As far as plugins, It comes stock with just about every plug you can ever want. As you develope your skills, you may want to drift away from the stock Sonar plugs and try some nastier ones. But for the most part, I could do a project right now with nothing bu Sonar plugs and get awesome results because they ARE that good.

It also comes with some increible samplers and drum programs. It's so thorough, you don't even need to know how to play an instrument to record inside it. That's pretty powerful stuff right there. So definitely, Sonar 8.5 Producer edition...don't even procrastinate.

As for the lessons thing, I'm not familiar with the method you are speaking of but I'd be open to try it. These days the video's I make for people are custom made for them pertaining to exactly what they want to learn. No video I ever create for someone is used for another person EVER. They are all custom made to your specs and your name is used as I'm explaining everything. Video lessons go for about $100.00 per video capture. An average video capture can be anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes and will not exceed 30 minutes on any capture due to my personal feeling that 30 minutes is a enough for one person to ingest. If I can't complete the lesson in 30 minutes or it's a huge, involved lesson, another capture will need to be done and this would be another $100.00. Hope this helps, thanks for your interest. :)

Cool Danny, I am glad to know that the Sonar 8.5 is good. I am definately going to get it in the next week or so. Already faught the old lady over it ;)

Anyways man, you should definately check out http://www.gotomeeting.com . You could really use it for the stuff you are doing now with customers.

The cool thing about it is, you can see eachothers desktops live as you speak on the phone. So you can do a live meeting and show exactly how things should be done on your screen then look at his/her screen and see if they are doing it right and they can get instant feedback and ask any questions then and there.

I use it for my business when I am setting up software for a customer. I highly recommend it if you are thinking about doing that kind of thing (it's extremely simple to use, both for you and the client.). Heck, you could even charge more for a Live lesson verses a recorded lesson.

But, that's beside the point  Let me get this software bought and play with it a bit (So I am not a total newb) and then I will hit you up. If you don't mind.

Thanks a lot for the info mang.
